Ashgate Hospicecare is thrilled to announce that they have received a brand new Vauxhall Astra, kindly donated by Arnold Clark Chesterfield Motorstore.
The car, which was passed over to the hospice on Friday the 25th of November, is a 7th generation design which promises to offer great space and comfort.
Russell Borrie, Group Franchise Director at Arnold Clark Chesterfield said, “We are delighted at the opportunity to support Ashgate Hospicecare, which is a landmark charity in Chesterfield.”
“After correspondence with the charity, we decided that the best thing we could do for them is to provide them with a vehicle in order to accommodate their day-to-day needs. The charity operates a free of charge service for its patients, which is why it’s crucial that they receive support from businesses.
All of us at Arnold Clark Automobiles are very proud to show support to the local community through the donation of a brand new Vauxhall Astra.”
Alison Ward-Foster, Partnerships Manager at Ashgate Hospicecare said, “The generosity of Arnold Clark is absolutely fantastic.”
“The new car is going to make a world of difference and the money that the hospice has saved will enable our nurses to care for more patients and their loved ones, we can’t thank Arnold Clark enough.”
Across its full range of services, Ashgate runs a 21-bed Inpatient Unit, a 16-place Day Hospice, and a range of therapy and support services on site. Services are funded mainly through donations and are provided free of charge to patients and their families. The majority of services delivered are in the community, enabling people to stay at home.
