Ashgate Hospicecare is thrilled to announce that Britain’s Got Talent’s semi finalists, Perfect Pitch, have been added to this year’s Markovitz Sparkle Night Walk entertainment.
The 40- piece choir, who impressed judges Simon Cowell, Alisha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams with their performance of the Jungle Book’s I Wanna be Like You and Bare Necessities, will be performing this Friday in the live semi finals on ITV.
If Perfect Pitch wins, they plan on donating half of the £250,000 prize money to three local charities as part of the fundraising initiative, #ChallengeDerbyshire, including Ashgate Hospicecare (70%), Blythe House Hospice (20%) and Helen’s Trust (10%).
Charlotte Gratton, Events Fundraiser at Ashgate Hospicecare, said: ‘We are so excited that Perfect Pitch have announced they will perform at this year’s Markovitz Sparkle Night Walk. Adding them to this year’s entertainment really is the icing on the cake.”
“It’s amazing to see so much anticipation within the local community. We want everyone to have a fabulous time whilst raising vital funds for patients and their families in North Derbyshire.
Perfect Pitch will be taking the sparkle stage on July 1st and entertaining over 2000 local people before their 10km walk.
Emma Hopkins, Musical Director of Perfect Pitch, said, “We are really pleased to be supporting Ashgate Hospicecare and singing live at the Markovitz Showroom Sparkle Night Walk. Some of the children in the choir have experienced hospice care within their family so we know how vital the hospice is for local people and are proud to help in any way we can.”
