Ashgate Hospicecare’s Christmas Market raises £12,122.38 for patient care

On Saturday 18th November, north Derbyshire’s local community came together and raised an amazing £12,122.38 at Ashgate Hospicecare’s Christmas Market.

The event, which hosted an array of stalls, food and entertainment including Santa and his reindeer, was hugely successful and raised vital funds for patients and their families.

Beth Cole, Events Fundraiser at Ashgate Hospicecare, said: “Thank you to everyone who made the event so special. It was such a fun, festive, family day which raised a vital amount of money for patient and their families across north Derbyshire. I hope everyone enjoyed it.”

Danielle Clements, from Chesterfield in north Derbyshire, said: “Absolutely wonderful. It was a lovely market. Money raised for a wonderful cause.”

The event couldn’t have taken place and been a huge success without the help from our wonderful supporters Spar, Barclays, NatWest, The Van Yard, Spire Marquees, Jacksons the Bakers, Rapid Relief Team, Thorntons and Go Traffic Management.

Poppy Rouse from Chesterfield in north Derbyshire, said: “It was a wonderful market and so glad to help the amazing team at Ashgate Hospice who are very close to my heart! It was emotional going but worth it.”7
