A team of six colleagues from Banner Jones Solicitors, led by Executive Director Stephen Gordon, are taking on the ‘Wellbeing Challenge’ at this year’s Redbrik Chesterfield Half Marathon. The Wellbeing Challenge is made up of two entries to each of the three events: 13.1 mile Half Marathon, the Peak FM 5 Mile Run and the one kilometre Fun Run. At just £80 for the six entries, the Wellbeing Challenge is aimed at encouraging local businesses and families to get involved with what is set to become the region’s biggest mass participation event.
Stephen Gordon has already tackled several fitness challenges this year already including the Etape Loch Ness cycle sportive which is a 66 mile cycle around the Loch. He also completed the Eton Sprint triathlon earlier in the year, so is all set to tackle the Half Marathon with colleagues, Lauren Mahon, Clayton Bissett, Dale Newell, Kate Skelton and Sara Ellison. Wendy Cotterill and Kerry Anderson will also complete the 5 Mile Run and (Chris and George Ellison) will be doing the Fun Run!
Stephen said, “The Wellbeing Challenge is a great way to encourage employees to get involved in the Redbrik Half Marathon, whatever their ability. Fundraising and training as a team also has its benefits; it’s great for team building and getting everyone motivated and ready for the event. It’s going to be a challenge but we’re looking forward to it!”
