On Saturday 17th November, North Derbyshire’s local community came together and raised an amazing £11,872 at Ashgate Hospicecare’s Christmas Market.
The event, which hosted an array of stalls, food and entertainment including Santa and his reindeer, was hugely successful and raised vital funds for patients and their families.
Beth Cole, Events Fundraiser at Ashgate Hospicecare, said: “Thank you to everyone who made this year’s Christmas Market so special. It was such a fun, festive, family day which raised an amazing amount of money for patient and their families across North Derbyshire. We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did!.”
The event couldn’t have taken place and been a huge success without the help from our wonderful supporters NatWest, Thorntons, GW Price, SPAR, Perry’s, Spire Marquees, Jacksons the Bakers, Rapid Relief Team, Vertu Toyota, Rob Pearson, Derbyshire County Council and Go Traffic Management.
Mark Tame, from Chesterfield in North Derbyshire, said: “This year’s Christmas Market was amazing. There was so much stuff to do for the kids and we all really enjoyed it. It has definitely brought the Christmas spirit into our house, great job!”
Sarah Kiln, from Dronfield in Chesterfield, said: “My two boys absolutely loved it! They had smiles on their faces all weekend, so thank you everyone who worked so hard to make it such a great event. 5 stars!”
