On Saturday 16th November, North Derbyshire’s local community came together and raised an amazing £11,736 at Ashgate Hospicecare’s Christmas Market.
The event, which hosted an array of stalls, food and entertainment including Santa and his reindeer, was hugely successful and raised vital funds for patients and their families across North Derbyshire.
Carl Jones, Fundraising Manager at Ashgate Hospicecare, said: “Thank you to everyone who made this year’s Christmas Market so special. Despite the wet and miserable weather, it was such a fun, festive, family day which raised an amazing amount of money for patients and their families across North Derbyshire. We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did!”
A special thank you to the local businesses and individuals who supported the Christmas Market by donating items and lending their time or services, including Jacksons The Bakers Ltd, John Plant and G.W.Price Ltd, Rapid Relief Team UK, Total Hire and Sales, Spire Marquees, Perry’s Ford, Sainbury’s Chesterfield, Tesco Chesterfield, Morrisons Chesterfield, Spire Radio, Rob Pearson, Barclays and SPAR.
Maureen Branell, from Chesterfield in North Derbyshire, said: “Well done to the whole Ashgate events team for putting on such an amazing event for families. We look forward to this event as a family each year and once again the hospice didn’t disappoint. Looking forward to next year’s already!”
