Ashgate Hospicecare, which provides specialist end-of-life care to patients with complex palliative care needs across North Derbyshire, has received a £15,000 donation from the Bridgstock Group.
The Group is the parent of two companies based on the Chesterfield Trading Estate; Peak Pipe Systems, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of pipe systems for utilities, landfill, renewable energy and aquaculture and its sister company ControlPoint, which provides quality assurance services and products to reduce leakage in pipe joints for the utilities market.
Both companies were the brainchild of Eric Bridgstock, a pioneer in polyethylene pipe jointing who sadly passed away in 2018.
His wife Petra, and her daughters Gemma, Helen and Ginnie (pictured) maintain a keen interest and involvement in the Bridgstock Group and are pleased to be able to make this donation to a local cause that is dear to their hearts.
Barbara-Anne Walker, Chief executive at Ashgate Hospicecare, said: “On behalf of everyone here at Ashgate Hospicecare, I would like to thank the Bridgstock Group for their kind generosity, which is gratefully received as we face our most difficult winter yet.
“Less than a third of our total costs are covered by local health budgets, which means Ashgate Hospicecare is only able to provide excellent care to our patients and their families because of the generosity of our community, including our committed business supporters like the Bridgstock Group.”
