Ashgate Hospice is delighted to be partnering with local radio station Peak Radio at its Sparkle Night Walk sponsored by Vertu Toyota this weekend.
The radio station is getting ready to Sparkle on Saturday night when Chesterfield’s biggest event of the year makes a physical return to the town.
Peak Radio, the charity’s media partner at the 10km fun-filled walk, will be there on the evening welcoming supporters and keeping them entertained before Sparkle starts.
Breakfast Show presenters Laura Summers and Becky Hayes will be on the main stage, outside Chesterfield FC’s Technique Stadium, playing music and creating a vibrant atmosphere for those in attendance.
They will also be interviewing Sparklers on stage, including families of people the charity has cared for who are taking part in their memory.
Peak Radio will also have stages at the halfway point at Eastwood Park, where Sophie Duncan from the Peak Radio evening show will be keeping the energy and spirits high.
Carl Jones, Fundraising Manager at Ashgate Hospice, added: “We are so grateful for the support and generosity of Peak Radio and we’re all so delighted to be partnering with them at this year’s Sparkle event.
“The support of organisations like Peak Radio ensures the success of our events and means that the money we raise can go straight back into funding the crucial end of life care we provide.
“We can’t believe that Sparkle is finally here and can’t wait to welcome our supporters on Saturday evening. With the support of Peak Radio, we promise all of our participants will have a fantastic evening from start to finish!”
Peak Radio is a new radio station that broadcasts on DAB across most of Derbyshire and East Staffordshire, and online and on smart speakers in Chesterfield and the High Peak.
Andrew Haslam, Station Manager at Peak Radio, said: “It’s super exciting for Peak Radio to be able to partner with Ashgate Hospicecare on the return of such a major fundraising event for North Derbyshire.
“As a local radio station, it’s so crucial for the team at Peak Radio that we work alongside fantastic charities like the hospice and help make a difference locally.
“I’m also excited to say that we’ll be holding a Sparkle Night on-air alongside the event where the love will keep on going!”
