Ashgate Hospicecare will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2018. Throughout the year, we’ll be celebrating the fantastic work of our staff and volunteers in delivering excellent care to patients with a life-limiting illness.
What are we asking?
The Hospice began thanks to some incredible individuals who volunteered their time to make Ashgate Hospicecare a reality. 30 years on, we rely more than ever on the amazing passion and determination of our wonderful volunteers.
We are asking you to help us celebrate our 30th anniversary with us by donating 30 hours of your time to help patients across north Derbyshire with a life-limiting illness.
Take on the #30for30 challenge to set yourself apart from the crowd, learn something new, meet new people and make a real difference in one of our diverse volunteering roles, such as a Ward Assistant or working in one of our many shops!
Why 30 Hours?
We know that people lead busy lives and time is precious, so 30 hours of volunteering in a year should be achievable for most, and what better way to celebrate our 30th anniversary? We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities that can easily be slotted in and around work, family and school or college commitments.
By logging your hours, you will get the opportunity to share your total time dedicated to the Hospice with friends, or give you evidence to present when completing university or job applications.
