Our Light up a Life switch on ceremony on Sunday 10th December 2017 is cancelled.
Currently, the Met Office weather forecast is predicting a 90% chance of snow for Sunday afternoon. Sadly, this means that have had to cancel our Light up a Life service. Depending on the weather conditions, if you feel it is safe for you to walk to the Hospice, we will be switching on the lights as planned at 6pm and you are welcome to come to see this (please note there will be no service or refreshments). We will also be sharing this moment as a live video on Facebook for those of you who are unable to attend.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported Light up a Life this year. We have raised an incredible £40,000, which will make a big difference to the patients and families who need us.
If you were planning to come to the service, please consider joining us instead on Monday 18th December at the Central Methodist Church, Saltergate at 7pm for our annual Carol Service. Please reserve your place by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The lights will be shining brightly for our loved ones until the Twelfth Night and you are welcome to visit the Hospice to see them any evening.
