Will the event definitely be going ahead? 

Alongside Skydive Hibaldstow, we are hopeful that our Skydiving Day can take place in 2021. We will continue to review the threat of COVID-19 alongside other unforeseen risks such as extreme weather conditions.

Safety is of paramount importance to us in every event we organise, and we only work with organisations who have the same focus, which is to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Please keep an eye on our social media channels and participant communications for the latest updates as we head towards Ashgate Hospicecare’s Skydiving Day 2021.

Will I have to wear a mask during my Skydive?

Prior to arrival, participants will need to have completed the COVID-19 questionnaire to say that they understand the new rules in place, and they have no symptoms of the virus or been in contact with anyone with the symptoms.

However, for your own safety, all participants and staff will still have to wear a mask during the event.

 

How do I set up a JustGiving page? 

It’s quick and easy to set up a fundraising page on JustGiving. Visit our campaign page here, click on the “Start Fundraising” button and create your page. Job done! Your fundraising page is now set up and ready to accept donations. You can personalise your page and share it with your friends and family. If you need any assistance in setting this up, you can email us at events@ashgatehospicecare.org.uk or give us a call on 01246 567250.

 

I can no longer take part in this event, what do I need to do? 

If you can no longer take part in this event, please email events@ashgatehospicecare.org.uk or call us on 01246 567250 to let them know.

 

What happens if the Skydive is not able to go ahead?

In this case, we will discuss with both yourself and Skydive Hibaldstow to arrange a new date. All jumpers have 12 months from their first visit to reschedule their Skydive.

 

What if I don’t manage to raise the minimum sponsorship?

Unfortunately, without this minimum sponsorship you will not be able to take part in this event. However, with help from the Events team and Ashgate Hospicecare’s Fundraising resources, this won’t be an issue.

 

Will there be food/drink at the event? 

Skydive Hibaldstow has a cafe offering freshly cooked food all day. All are welcome for a cup of tea and a bite to eat. We also have a licensed bar open from 12 noon daily for spectators (and participants after their jump!).

 

How will I raise the £350 minimum sponsorship?

Don’t worry, we are always here to help you along the way! You’ll be a Fundraising Star before you know it. By fundraising for the hospice, you will be helping to ensure that Ashgate Hospicecare will be here for the future so that we can continue to support the people in our community who need us the most.

When is the deadline for handing in my sponsorship money?

We require proof that you have raised the minimum amount of £350 prior to your jump. All sponsorship money should be paid to the hospice as soon as possible but ideally no later than 20th June 2021.

 

Can I have my Skydive filmed/photographed?

Absolutely! If paid on arrival, Skydive Hibaldstow offers a video USB and still photographs for just £120, although if this is pre-paid for, our participants can receive a discount.
